For a minimum wage job, it is as expected. The manager is nice enough, although she ensures that everyone always has something to do. There are many opportunities to move up to a manager position. Customers get unbearable but our system of calming them down is pretty effective. Team members that go above and beyond can pick a small prize out of a mini treasure box. These prizes gives us incentive to always try out hardest!
Similar to most fast food places, you don't get the wage you deserve in proportion to the money you rake in nor the work you put in. I was promised a wage raise of 50 cents after every 6 months, which really is nothing. In the beginning, I worked feverously, but towards the end, I realized this meant nothing as I got paid the same as my fellow coworkers who did the minimum. Therefore, I believe that minimum wage=minimum effort. If you're not getting paid the adequate amount, there's no reason to tire yourself out. My coworkers themselves were good people and management was friendly. All locations are going to differ on this aspect.
Perfect job if you want to work with food. I've been treated as family since the moment I applied. There are many opportunities to advance up in this company. Since many people treat it as any other part-time job, the company appreciates someone who values work.
