Working for the KFC in VA has been a great experience so far. I have noticed KFC is hugely diverse. Many employees including myself feel safe at work as shift managers are always their to help you. The only think I would like to be changed is more training from the managers would be great for new employees. Overall, working at KFC is great!

It was tough and dirty work. Not as dirty as working for an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, but not far behind. I worked for two years in high school, one year as a team leader with plans for assistant manager, and to this day, five years later, the distinct tinge of burnt canola oil, chicken, salt, and breading still does snuff out my appetite.
It was not bad or dishonest work. KFC does enforce cleanliness standards as they can, but it's just greasy, fast food, and it is tiring work if you let it. People are rewarded for borderline hyperactive behavior because the job simply demands it at times. In turn, the upper management tries to support workers and their labor rights, and they even offer a scholarship to push their leaders and managers into school. They are not bad people, but unless you really like KFC, you probably will want to keep this a temporary position.
My experience at this kfc was great, the employees are very friendly and talkative. The customers sometimes can give a struggle but you have to keep yourself calm and professional. I go to school and work and my manager always pushes me into staying in school and doing my work. She will work around my school schedule because she says that my school always comes first, even if sometimes I'm willing to work more. I have been working with this company for about 3 years and because she does work so good with my schedule I might be working here for another 2 years.
