I honesty love hooter. I was nervous about working there but ended up being the best job I've had! The girls there are so nice and welcoming, we became really close. They have reimbursement money for the girls in collage! You can meet great people through this job.
I love this company with all my heart and the numerous opportunities they provided for me as a Hooter Girl. There were only a few issues I have had whille working for this company. To begin, there is a lot of favoritism between management and employees and if you're not a favorite you will be treated unfairly. Second of all, that favoritism leads to incorrect judgement relating to promoting the girls. Again, I love my job, but things get quite unfair and there's nothing that can be done to change it. Aside from this, the money is good -- depending on the time of year and the store location (like any other restaurant). Summer is always the worst time of year and results in all of us having to get 2 jobs to even pay our rent.
Working at Hooters is an amazing experience! They worked well with my availability while I was going to school, and playing a college sport. I met some amazing, driven, hardworking people as well. There is a stigma that comes with it as i'm sure you can imagine. However, most of the girls I work with are driven college students, already have a career and are just trying to make some extra cash, or mothers. Most of our customers are so nice and it is such a fun atmosphere to work in. It also helped me gain confidence in the way that I look. I am not a twig, I'm a very curvy girl and working in this type of atmosphere made me love my body and gain a lot of confidence.
