My experience working here has been positive. It is an extremely fast-paced and highly energetic environment that keeps you satisfied and constantly growing. Everyone here is really friendly and easy to get along with. A very cool perk is that there is ample opportunity for advancement and cross-training, with positions always opening here and there!
This hospital is great for nursing or medical technicians/cna's to get experience. For admitting/business office opportunities, this hospital does not provide adequate training and is a disorganized mess, management is immature and untrained, foul mouthed and unreliable. However, there are some people attempting to improve the business office departments.
This hospital is one of the lowest paying hospitals in town, but it has some of the nicest coworkers/work atmosphere.
Benefits are average to below average for a hospital, decent 401 k, the insurance plan available is a subpar hmo.
Work life balance is great, with 10 hour shifts for business office and 12 hour shifts for medical staff.
PTO accumulation is the highest of anywhere I've seen, however, being able to actually take a vacation in nearly impossible due to staffing issues. There are frequent "blackout" periods during which no one can use their PTO
