HEB Grocery Reviews

A very good grocery store that knows that the secret to success is investing in there employees, they compensate there employees well, and offers many opportunists for upward momentum, they also give plenty of support to ensure that employees can work get there work done efficiently, they want to maintain employees over time to ensure that they have plenty of experienced employees, while it doesn't always get everything right, for example there isn't a grocery union available to employees, but they try there best.
They also do everything possible to ensure quality of products and customer experienced, they only pick high quality produce, and ingredients for there deli, bakery and there meal ready products, they also try to improve customer experience by adding new services such as curbside services, and new health section, they also work to improve there services such as maintaining stock, improving pharmacy services, and there meal ready services which has improved quality

The work experience is based on the managers you work with. If you have terrible managers, the workplace is terrible as well. Customers are entitled because the company is very "the customer is always right," and they know that. Don't count on managers helping you in a tough situation. The company is a good place to work, they have many benefits but you have to choose the location wisely. It is a lot of work and it is physically demanding. They do give regular raises until you reach the cap and the potential to move up is high so staying in one position the whole time is very unlikely. Overall, it's a nice place to work, you just have to do a little bit of research before choosing which store to apply to.
I liked the flexibility and benefits along with the pay. I also was paid during my time away from work when I had COVID 19 and had to quarantine for two weeks. I was able to transition to many different roles in my four year span there. I worked in the Meat Department. I worked in Grocery. I worked in Cosmetics (doing overnight/early morning stocking). I was trained in parking lot as an attendant who collected carts. I have done stocking, sorting, shelving, facing, cleaning, minor maintenance. I was also awarded employee of the month in 2021 in October by my manager. I have rarely missed a day of work except when sick or an emergency. I am highly dependable by my managers. I really liked that during the COVID pandemic in 2020 when it started that the company gave us a bonus for several months since we were at greater risk and were considered essential employees. During the Ice storm that happened in 2021, HEB paid for employees who couldn't come in to work.
