As a customer sales representative working out of an airport location, its good job for hard working college students looking to make a pretty penny while gaining valuable social and business skills. Customer service and great interpersonal skills are important for success at this company due to Enterprise's high reputation for providing an efficient and painless service when renting a vehicle. My management team is awesome and we all operate like a well oiled machine; almost like a family. The company provides many benefits for full-time employees such as PTO, 401k, plenty of over time hours, and great healthcare packages.
I enjoy working with this company. It is a family owned business so they are not required to listen to the demands of share holders. During the start of the pandemic, this company offered most of the full-time workers a paid two week off as a pre-cautionary measure to the stay-at-home orders issued by the federal government. After the quarantine order was lifted, myself and some other employees were offered to come back. The managers work well with you as long as you communicate effective what it is you desire. During peak years, we were rewarded with food trucks and barbecue days for the company. We host potlucks during holidays. There will also be days where the managers would cater food for the employees.
The only thing I enjoyed about working at ERAC was my co-workers. The pay also was not bad for a first time job out of college, over 40k. Upper management is terrible and all they care about is numbers. They want you to pressure customers into buying things or upgrading to things they don't need. I would spend my day upselling, get no compensation for it, and if my numbers weren't good enough, I would get in trouble. I'm an excellent employee and take pride in having happy customers. They will make you feel terrible if you don't hit your numbers even if you go above and beyond. They do not care about customers or employees. I had to put in a vacation over 3 times in a row with more than a month's notice each time. I kept getting denied for reasons that are not affected by my absence. They also work you at least 50 hours a week, but if you clock in for more than 50 hours they will essentially put you on a naughty list. Of course, they don't want you to stop working if you clock out.
