I love working at Costco! It is a great place to work for if you plan on pursuing some sort of a career through school. They will work around school because they have you in there best interest and want you to succeed. Not to mention the benefits. It's a great place to work for, so if you plan on going to school I suggest working for Costco because no other place is better than them.
Costco Wholesale has been my job for 15 years and I am truly grateful to have such an accommodating job! I have been a college student before and they have always been flexible with my school schedule. I recently suffered a head injury (outside of work), and the great health insurance took care of most of the financial burden I would've endured due to two surgeries, more that a year of doctor's visits, physical therapy, speech therapy and working on my mental health due to the head trauma.
Costco gives a fair starting pay to those who do not have a degree. They also give wage increases fairly often (usually annually if not more often). Bonuses start after 5 years and benefit packages are really pretty great! However, if you're looking to get into management or higher in the company, demand is the issue. there are not enough spots for how many individuals go through specific management training to continue your growth within the company while being able to use your skills. Even if you have all the determination in the world, theres just not the space or open positions that is needed for the growth people wish there was in the company. However, if you're willing to relocate multiple times within few years, movement may happen faster. But if you are in the Home Office or at corporate travel, it may take much longer to get to your end goal for your career.
