City of Boston Reviews

working in Boston Public schools is a great experience! There is a lot of diversity in the city among students and staff and each part of the city is different. The pay in BPS is good and the benefits are great. The Boston Teachers Union is a big plus to working in BPS- there is a strong support system for teachers. Each of the schools in Boston is different and working at each one has its perks. There are many different start times in Boston Public Schools as well, so the schedule can be flexible depending on what the house of your school are.

I like the diverse culture but I would like for there to be much more room to grow. People tend to over look skill sets because there are so busy in their own work that employees get discouraged and look for other employers with better growth opportunities. Although the compensation is good, we are all required to live in the city of Boston and the cost of living is astronomical making us feel as though we are not compensated as well as we should be.
Not that great. "We" don't get paid enough to deal with the stuff we have to deal with from patrons or management.
