It is a great organization to work for, they are thorough with the way that they on-board and train you. Some supervisors are great while others are not as invested in their employees job-satisfaction.
Overall, Cedars-Sinai is a good company to work for. It has good benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, and a matching retirement fund. They also offer tuition assistance for those who are attending school. However, there are cons to working here. There is no room to grow or advance for some. I am in the same position which I had started from seventeen years ago. Management and micromanagement gives people anxiety.
I worked in research and the work was grant based. As a result there were months were I could not be paid. The work itself was incredibly gratifying and educational. The communication between employees and employee resource, however was sometimes difficult and one was not always treated with respect. I thoroughly enjoyed opportunities to attend symposiums and conferences and present data and abstracts. Learning from these experiences will be incredibly useful in my future career and educational aspirations.
