I work for Carter's/ Oshkosh B'gosh in the Milwaukee area. This job has provided me with the opportunity to grow as a person and to connect with others. If it was not for this job, I would not be as experienced with customer service and I would not have any experience with responsibility outside of a school environment. I always look forward to work and truly enjoy being a Sales Associate. I feel that this is a job for me and I can say from experience that this company cares about its employees and their wellbeing. I am very lucky to work for Carter's/ Oshkosh B'gosh and I am proud to have begun and continue my career as a worker with them.
I started this retail position as a seasonal associate and quickly fell in love with the overall experience of Carter’s. Upper management is extremely supportive and informative. The customers are my favorite part of this job. Throughout the year, I was able to receive two promotions due to management positions opening up. Overall, this is a great place to work. I look forward to the future utilizing my upcoming Bachelors of Management degree.
I mean this place has been a roller coaster for me. I say this because I started back in the early 2014 when the store opened, as a manager things were great. Sadly, things started to change when new upper management came along and my hours started to change. My weekends were being taken when upper management was off all weekend. Although I had opened availability they made me do closing shifts and all of the weekly sale changes. It just burned me out especially being a student . I felt pressured from upper management to step down and take a role as an associate with a pay cut. My hours sadly went from 20+ to a mire 3 hours a week- and as I'm writing this they haven't scheduled me to work in 5 weeks, even though I hadn't requested them to be off. So as I'm writing this I couldn't give it more than two stars. Each star represents a wonderful year I spent at Carters. I still mantain a job there because every dollar counts when it comes to work- even if its just three hours weekly.
