Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Reviews
Rating 4.5 out of 5 8 reviews
I am an intern for the Corporate Services team in the Enterprise IT division at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. The projects that have been assigned to me this summer have been of great value as they proved to be a learning experience and have had me experiment with things that I have not learned in the classroom.
The compensation is average at best, with interns making around $15-18 an hour. There is some room to grow, it depends on your experience when you first start. The workplace culture is okay, but it is balanced out by the work/life balance as well as the location and stability.

I began working at Blue Cross last summer for an internship for Internal Audit. I can proudly say that it was one of the best experiences of my career. I've learned so much about not only the company, but also about teamwork. My supervisor and department assisted and motivated me on my work ethic along with my impact on the company. My supervisor even commended me on my work ethic for my age, and that proved that I was worthy of working at Blue Cross. Each person in the department made me feel like I belonged and the company is nothing without teamwork. We all pushed each other to not only get the job done, but to always push yourself for improvement. Blue Cross has taught me about learning how to work with groups of people, and to always push yourself to be the best you can be.
This organization cares about employee professional development. It has an awesome internship program. Key area for improvement is that they need to more business oriented and to have real impact on customers.
