Working at BJ's Whole Sale club has been an experience. While only working for around two years I have seen around three managers become fired, and many more employees let go. Besides the understaffing in some areas of the store, the whole store runs pretty smoothly. There is always something interesting happening within the store.
I have been working for the Bj's Wholesale Company for about two years now, i got the job in august 2020 and working for the company is average at best, When i first started working for BJ's, i was loaded with hours even though i was in the middle of school and for me being in recovery and for it being my frst job so far i didnt mind it as it was a great way of making money on the side while i was focusing on studies. Two years later, i really am considering better options but the one benefit is that they are completely flexible with your hours when you talk to them. The like to build schedulers around the employees which makes it easy for students like me working part - time. The management can be very infuriating at times but they do try to work around the employees in the store and this makes the very approachable. Working for BJ's is a good option for looking into part time work during school and other things.
To give credit where credit is due, the company culture is very welcoming and friendly as it should be. The technology, however, is sub-par at times, and the coupons, for example, cause much headache. This inadequate technology causes a bit of workplace dysfunction, it is not uncommon to have stressful work days because of this. Making all coupons clip-less, instead of just some, could easily fix a major part of this problem. Aside from this, updating the registers may be a costly expense at first, but as any introduction to business class will tell you, it will pay off very quickly once workplace efficiency is increased.
