It's a popularity contest here. If you're well-liked, you will love your schedule. Management doesn't listen too often and can be spiteful when it comes to the schedule. The option to work FT, PT, or Relief makes for a great work-life balance. If you're new, expect to be training other newer employees. Running around patient floors is HARD on your body. Shift differentials make up for low pay so you'll do better to work overnight. You will wear several hats to cover the need for more staff.

Bay Health Kent General Hospital is a community hospital with many different available specialties. Hospital policies are evidence based and updated continuously. Great environment for new nurses. Good communication from the management team.
Moving to the IT department was the best move I made during my time at Bayhealth. I do not get compensated for on call, or after hour support as they like to call it, as I am a salary employee, which can be frustrating. There is a lot of work to be done and there does not seem to be a time when this will not be the case. Management does seem to take care of their staff.

I have had issues with HR in the past and the hiring process takes a long time. Getting a position filled seems to take too long as the amount of work to be done is huge at this point with building a new hospital and onboarding new offices on a regular basis.
