Bayer Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 2 reviews
I had a great experience at Bayer. I worked in Idaho under what was formerly known as Seminis Monsanto in the Research Department. Our job was dealing with the sweet corn seeds through a process that involves work in the office such as counting, sorting, scanning, and organizing, all the way through planting and shipping the seeds, and nurturing the corn as it grows. Near the end of the season, we hand-pollinated the corn and brought it into the office for observation. I really liked working here because while the job can get tedious and the hours are long and things get hot outside, the people I work with are great and the management really cares about our happiness and well-being. Safety is a top priority here. I got to experience working with sweet corn up close, and learned a lot about why we do the things we do and why agriculture is such an important part of life. I exercised leadership as a crew lead for some of the younger members, and overall felt like the job was worth it.
The company could be a great place to work but lacks transparency, work\life balance and empathy from management at my location.
