overall a place I would avoid working at again. The managers there were not transparent with their staff. Taking time off to visit family (with your PTO) was frowned upon because it would leave gaps inside the schedule. Managers were allowed to take contact breaks and small 30 minute windows for themselves but regular entry level employees only go 30 min breaks once a day. Moving up and growth was impossible because the people who are above you have been there for 5-10 years and they won't move up so there is no where for anyone to go. Overall pay was decent and you have the ability to get commissions too but the ideal work environment was not here. Snacks and coffee was provided but to a minimum and hardly ever ordered so replenish what was gone, until it was completely empty. customers were the highlight of my job because they were the only nice ones I got to deal with everyday.
I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as an Autonation employee for 6 years. I started my career with AutoNation as a Personal Auto Consultant in 2011. My duties included: answering inbound calls from prospects interested in purchasing a vehicle, assisting the customer step by step to uncover their vehicle needs, researching the nationwide Autonation inventory for the perfect vehicle, securing financing for the customer, and delivering a complete streamlined auto buying service
I loved AutoNation so much. I never took lunch and I was focused on selling. Today is the one day I seriously took lunch and felt the need to eat. My Gm Chuck Coa From Autonation Chevrolet Valencia seriously went haywire on me because he said I was committing time theft. I solely work on commission so that analogy did not sit well with me since I have never stolen anything in my life. I am a powerhouse sales guy that smashes gross profit and gets great CSI reviews. Saddens me I quit today due to the disrespect I received from the GM Chuck Coa. His stress for not selling as much as he should started to show today and he seriously took it out on the wrong one. God bless him and AutoNation. I really thought I was going to retire there. oh well. Ill take my talents elsewhere.
