Asurion Reviews

In general, I had a good experience here. Store hours are always 10-7, which can be difficult for some people. Asurion's partnership with Samsung makes repair pricing more competitive, but also results in a lot of unnecessary policies that negatively impact the customer experience by increasing repair times (sometimes upwards of 24 hours). Franchise stores specifically have a difficult time staying profitable due to repair prices set by the corporate office. They require you to push their Home+ insurance plan to all customers, even though it doesn't apply to cell phone repairs. This isn't Asurion's fault, but when employees called out it was my responsibly as store manager to come in on my days off to run the store, often by myself. It paid decently well and I enjoyed the repairs themselves, and all of my coworkers were great. Ultimately, just a lot of restrictions put in place by corporate made an otherwise great job really frustrating.
My experience has been good. I work on the repair side, and being able to repair devices has been pleasant for me. The environment itself is among the most professional tech repair environments I've seen. I'm less of a sales person so selling and meeting quotas has been harder for me. The pressure from corporate to meet a quota can be a little much at times, but it isn't overbearing in my opinion. Overall it's a job I really enjoy.
This company is not the best to work for but it's definitely not the worst to work for. There is constant change, being the industry it's in things are always changing. However that is not always bad, it's good in the way that you can always get a new schedule, if the current one doesn't work for you or move just a day around to accommodate something that just popped up. On the other hand that also includes management changes, constantly. I have been with the company a little over 2 years and have had 7 different supervisors, which DOES NOT work for me. All in all the pay is great, the benefits are wonderful, even the environment is great and supportive. If you can handle constant management and team changes and the type of phone calls it's a great place to work!
