I started working at an ASC building as a CNA. The company I work for sent me through classes for free without contract. I have remained with the company for a few years. Throughout the years, I have watched many employees come and go. The building has a difficult time retaining staff. However, the facility I work for is clean, most of the staff is friendly, and I am given what is needed to perform my job to the best of my ability. It's a great stepping stone to get started and receive experience in the medical field.

As a CNA, I enjoy the time I spend with my residents on a personal level. The resident to caregiver ratio is not too high. The staff seems to enjoy their profession and has genuine concern and compassion for their residents. This is a residents home and we are helping them thrive. On the other hand, management should take more consideration from the on-floor staff in regards to policy. Some practices do not make much logistic sense.
I like working here. Management works with your schedule. Each facility is different. I have worked different facilities and every facility runs alittle different. Some places had bad management and some had great.
