Pros: People, Work-Life-Balance, Diversity, Purpose, Opportunity, Learning, Benefits
Cons: Pay, Technology (old systems)
I have been working here for over 5 years, straight out of college, and I love it. I have been able to work my way up from a $50k salary to now earning $100k. The opportunity to grow and learn is certainly here, and there is a renewed focus on diversity. The work is purposeful (depending on your department). The benefits are comparable to most other corporations, with our PTO being above average. The people here are wonderful and smart. While there are busy seasons, the work-life-balance is decent.
However, pay is substandard. Someone at my level should be making $150k (and can at competing firms) easily. Getting a raise is incredibly difficult. The technology is old too. The company is going through a tech transformation, so hopefully that helps.
Overall, I love working here, just wish I was paid more.

AIG is a great company to work. Promotions from within. Longevity. During this pandemic, AIG already had working from home/remotely in place, so the transition was no hard.
I really liked the large scope of businesses that AIG covers. You get to talk with your professional peers who provide financial services to a wide spectrum of industries and regions. AIG has every resource to be successful in any niche. I personally serviced the diocese of my city with over 150 churches and catholic schools. There are promotional opportunities if you are outstanding in your area. Down sides area that commissions are getting lower across the industry. Nothing against AIG.
