One of the best jobs I have ever worked at. The people and managers were great but the pay was okay. The managers were kind to let me take two months off for medical leave and still keep my job. It was the first job I worked at that actually followed labor laws and allowed for two 15 minute paid breaks. They were considerate of my medical condition and never pushed me to do more than what I could. The management was organized and never scheduled me outside of my availability, which I appreciate so much because there were a few other jobs I've had that did not care. If the pay was better, I would definitely go back. It was the perfect part-time job to have while going to school because they were flexible with your school schedule. I helped open the store that I worked at so I felt so close to the girls there. We all had lots of fun and there was never any drama amongst the workers. I would recommend this job to anyone looking for part-time work. Thanks, AEO!
American Eagle is the best job I could have asked for, I have worked for both American Eagle and Aerie (their sister brand) and I have very good experiences from both.
The managers are always super happy and really nice to help whenever I have a question and even encourage me to ask. They are flexible with their schedules and if they know that you arent going to get many hours (Like during the pandemic) they ask you if you will need a second job and help reach out to other stores in the area to see if they would be willing to hire you as a 2nd job.
The clothes are always cute and we as employees receive a 40% discount, compared to targets 10%, its a blessing. They do not care if you have colored hair, tattoos, they promote body positivity and they do not discriminate on religion or race.
If you are considering applying to American Eagle, I highly recommend it!

I love working for American Eagle. I love that their company is making an effort to be more green, they truly care about their employees and customers, and they are dedicated to the whole body positivity movement. Not only their working environments, but the shopping environment is comfortable and welcoming. My management team and even higher up managers are very open, approachable, and easy to talk to. If you want to work your way up in this company there is definitely a way. I really enjoy how they push us to be our best and they also strive for us to grow. Even when you think you've made it to where you want to be, there is always something new to learn! (and its not just stuff to learn in retail, they teach valuable life skills you can take anywhere!)
