I have been around for a few years now and I must say that I love my employer and co-workers. We all feel a sense of inclusion, stability and loyalty here at American Airlines! Since the merger of American and UsAirways, we had some bumps in the road as we reformed but we got through it, together and have emerged with a clear sense of purpose!
Deciding where to work or have a career is one of the most important decisions one will make in life and at American it can become very clear, very quickly, just what a good decision an employee had made! Our CEO, Doug Parker, has opened the door for a lot of opportunities for his team to take advantage of and as I speak for the entire company when I say this, we are grateful he is our CEO! The right leadership makes all the difference in the world! I appreciate American Airlines because American Airlines makes me feel appreciated! My family and I thank you American Airlines!

Best regards,

Nia D. :)

As an employee for American Airlines, I work as a Customer Service Agent at an airport making sure passengers get to their destination. It’s a great job to have and American Airlines as a company is pretty good. Working for American, in my position, I love the fact that I can swap around my shifts with no problem. I have 4 paid weeks vacation a year, health benefits, life insurance, 401k and most importantly, the ability to travel the world. I love the flexibility of the job and all the opportunities that it brings to you. As any other company there is a downfall. Something that I would change would be the interaction between agents and management. Everyone has a different experience but it would be nice to feel like we’re one big happy family. Overall, it’s a great place to work with good wages. Most of the people I work with are great and you get to build strong relationships outside of work.
To work for the world's largest airline is to work for the world's largest family. The work that I do affects thousands of people on a daily basis. Management is flexible and open-minded, and the company culture is one of inclusion and progression. I feel that anything is possible at this company. The number of employee activities is unlimited--there's a group for every religion and hobby. There are networking events every week with happy hours/luncheons. The 401k matching is unbeatable in the industry, and the health benefits are top notch. Of course, the flight benefits are the largest benefit to working for AA. To be able to travel to a wide range of countries every weekend for next-to-nothing makes the world seem limitless. I would highly recommend working for AA if you're looking for a company that is focused on moving onward and upward, one that puts their employees above their management, and one that is constantly providing opportunities to grow outside of the workplace.
