I would like more consistent hours, as well as feeling like my hard work gets noticed. I feel like the company focuses more on what they look like to the consumer, rather than how they are treating their employees. I do like my coworkers now, but my last store manager was a train wreck. Sometimes I feel like favoritism over values hard work and consistency .(For example, my coworker will get more hours because she is best friends with the Merch. Manager, but she'll be rude to guests and show up late).
I work at Aerie in Pleasanton, CA and I'm a guy in a workplace that is all girls. Regardless of that, I like my job. I can get the hours that I can normally get with no sense of pressure to work more. Although, since my job title is Overnight Stock Merchandise, I only work after the store is closed and the work can be scarce at times since its a new company under American Eagle. If you want a simple part-time job that's easy to understand once you work there for around a month, then the job can be right for you.
I have fallen in love with working for Aerie. I am a huge advocate for body positivity, and as a plus-sized girl it means the world to work for a clothing company that advocates for it as well. My bosses are all so kind and understanding and I feel extremely comfortable around each and every one of them.
