Working for Adelbrook has been a challenging experience. I enjoy my team and am committed to the mission of our organization, however many of our policies and procedure need to be revamped to show more value of the staff body. There are currently changes being made that will benefit the kids we serve as well as the staff, however the emotional and mental behaviors of some of the higher level staff are slow in changing. I believe that we will continue to turn the corner, and improve.
I enjoyed everything I learned at Adelbrook. It is a challenging job as we work we a challenging population. We work with children that have autism and behavioral disabilities. They is a team of clinicians, behaviorists, and staff to treat the kids. It is a rewarding job, the kids will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish there was better communication between departments, that would greatly improve the facility.
I love the students and the population I work with however administration needs assistance. The ratio of students to staff is very limited as there is never enough staff. Teacher's are assigned students making them unable to teach the class and staff members keep getting injured as students do not deal well with so many inconsistencies. I enjoy working with the students and Adelbrook has great benefits.
