York, SC is a great place to raise a family. It is a few miles from the metropolitan area of Charlotte, NC. I would like to see more businesses opening that pay well because there aren't many good job opportunities.

It's a small town but it is slowly growing. You have to drive at least 30 minutes for a mall, movies, big chain restaurants, etc.
We moved to York in 2016 and so far it has proven to be quaint and simple, there's usually something to do, the only thing York is really lacking is not having enough to do inside the city and not having enough retailers and places to go shop and spend time at, York is about to hit 10,000 people and is lacking in some areas, but overall it is pretty good
