Very cozy, welcoming town. Weather is not the best but that goes for all of New England. Cute small town center with lots of food options!
I have grown up in Yarmouth and absolutely love it here. The community is incredible and you really feel the support of everyone in the town behind you. I've gone to school here since kindergarten and the opportunities you have to improve yourself and learn are unmatched. The teachers are incredible, and the students expect a lot from themselves, each other, and their teachers. Yarmouth is beautiful and every morning you can see people walking or biking to school, taking the dog for a walk, or going for a run with their friends. The community is very athletic, and the soccer and lacrosse teams are very good. The girls' nordic ski team has won states close to fifteen times in the past few years. The theater group, the Playmakers, are also incredible. Nothing beats the fall musical and the spring One Acts competition (last year they won states!).
Yarmouth is a great town to live in! The people are so friendly, great places to eat and close enough to Portland (20 minutes) to commute to work or have a night out.
