It's very family-oriented and has great public schools. There's very little nightlife. Pretty much everyone is white, with the husband working and the wife staying home and taking care of the kids in large, cookie-cutter houses. Also, most people work in Philidelphia or New York.
Growing up in Yardley was and is a great place to raise a family and have a terrific childhood. The community pool was always the hot spot when school was out and the sun was at its highest. Three diving boards, a slide that will leave you with the spins and snack stand with the best treats. Every first Friday of the month, after Memorial Day, "A movie under the stars" was always a family bonding activity I would always look forward to. Saturday and Sunday mornings were for soccer tournaments, football and baseball practices. After a long morning of competitive sporting events, you could always look for one walking on the canal of the borough, with a waffle ice cream cone in hand. Yardley is where memories and traditions can be made to be shared and passed down for other future townies.
I have lived in yardley for 10 years now, there are many welcoming families in this area. The area is very safe, clean, and diverse. It is easy to make friends with all the nice people around in this town. there is many places to go for food around this area such as high end restaurants and local food markets close by. There are many job opportunities given within this town since there is many stores and shops open within appropriate hours.
