What I liked about Worthington, MN is that it's a very diverse small town. You get the opportunity to interact with different cultures and become very good friends with them. High school was a good time and everybody seemed closed to each other. Teachers were always nice and made learning fun. In the summer you see everybody doing an activity around Lake Okabena. The main thing I would like for Worthington to change is the fact that they should have a movie theater and bowling alley so families can enjoy themselves on a chill night.

Worthington is a small, rural town in Southwestern Minnesota. It is continuously growing and has a large, 5 mile lake with a bike path running around the diameter. It has great diversity and friendly, downtown businesses. The schools have amazing teachers but are underfunded in some areas. However, the high school just recently put a new music addition on. As far as nightlife, it is not the greatest. There is no movie theater or bowling ally and no mall. However, Sioux Falls SD is only an hour away for some fun entertainment.
I grew up in Worthington, MN. I felt like it was a safe place to live and I was given many opportunities to contribute to my community while going to school. This town is the most diverse town in Minnesota and seeing that emerge before my eyes was beautiful. There is a need for a bigger district because of that. The lake in the center of the town is a beautiful landmark.
