I loved Woodstock as a small city with a cute, historical main street, farms, all the big name stores, easy access to Atlanta and friendly suburbs when we first moved here 8yrs ago. It is still great, though there's a little more traffic and a little less green space. The outlet mall was put in a great spot, I love having a Costco and our little, historic main street has turned into a hopping, trendy street with great little stores and delicious restaurants. The friendly suburbs and easy access to Atlanta has remained despite the growth!

Woodstock has grown considerably the last 5 years! It has welcomed everyone, it's very diverse in it's shops and the town's people. I absolutely love living here! Everyone has a smiling face and southern hospitality that cannot be beat! There are upscale shopping excursions, wine tastings, horse farms and just a general feeling of a hometown without it feeling to small or too big! The subdivisions have wonderful neighbors that are always willing to help out if needed. There isn't a lot of 'trashy areas' in the city, which is nice for home values, as well as people values! The people here take pride in what they have and it shows! I would definitely recommend Woodstock whether you are retiring or a young couple starting out. It is a fabulous place to have everything you need without the hassle of the traffic of getting into the Atlanta area.
Woodstock is very nice suburban town 35mins north west of Atlanta. The area is perfect for a families with grade school aged children, because the school districts are amongst the best in the area and the crime rate is very low!
In comparison to Atlanta, the cost of living is lower i.e., cost of land, groceries and gas is normally cheaper as well! Woodstock has a small yet charming downtown area equipped with boutiques, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops etc. Overall Woodstock is a very cute town and I would recommended it.
