Woodcrest has been my joke for the past 17 years. I’ve grown up here so this is all I know. Although it is not very big there is lots to do here. My Highschool was right next to my house which was very convenient and it also surrounded by lots of things to do. There are multiple parts around my area along with fast food places, plazas, malls, and more. The only issues I really see here is the amount of trash that is on our street and tons of spiders since I live by horses and dirt. But Woodcrest is a very nice place and I recommend people to come visit or settle here as it is small but very close to lots of activities.
Woodcrest is an ideal area if you are interested in having your child enroll in MLKHS, however, depending on what side of Woodcrest you live in, you are either in developed suburbs or houses on a dirt road, so be aware if you are looking to buy a house.
The areas around the schools are very friendly and the neighbors often know each other. The further into the county you get, the more space there is between neighbors. Many community events either happen at schools, local churches, or downtown. They often have very large turnouts.
