Woodbury is the textbook New Jersey suburb. There has been a great level of diversity which I am grateful for as I can connect to people with varying cultures. A downside I've found are the heavy amounts of traffic and endless roads. These complicated roads are impossible to navigate without a GPS or prior knowledge of the area. Woodbury is a generally very safe area, and affordability of housing varies just like any other area. I cannot speak on entertainment or nightlife, but I've heard that it's nothing extraordinary.
I currently reside in Woodbury and have been here for almost 10 years. I can honestly say Woodbury has changed since my first coming of here to now. I like the diversity in both this town and schools, the different cultures, ethnicity and backgrounds are immaculate. Growing up Woodbury was kid-friendly with a positive environment where people would congregate and get along. I enjoyed the school system where I have came across huge masses of friends and great personalities and experiences. Now, Woodbury has not had the best environment, it is not as safe walking through the town both alone or with friends. At night the streets are very quiet and the kids do not play how we did.
I have lived in Woodbury most of my life. My favorite parts are my high school, the summer weekly music festival Lot 323, the Mexican restaurant El Manantial and the local park Bell Lake. Woodbury is generally a diverse and accepting city. Woodbury does lack a strong small town community and a night life.
