The public school system in Wisconsin Rapids definitely has some of the best teachers around. Teachers are willing to go the extra mile to help a student be successful, and get the most out of their learning. Wisconsin Rapids is a great place to raise a family, with many schools and great neighborhoods through the area. Wisconsin Rapids is also very centrally located, only an hour from Marshfield or Wausau, and half an hour from Stevens Point. This means that even if there aren't many job opportunities in Rapids, commuting to work is easier. Wisconsin Rapids also boasts a few biking and walking paths along the Wisconsin River, Lake Nepco, and Lake Wazeecha. Rapids is a great area to get active recreationally!

I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids. Wisconsin Rapids is your typical small city that has the basic stores and necessity that anyone needs. Unfortunately, over the years, stores closed one by one and people moved out to other cities. Education is diverse with their art and music programs and has what it needs to teach students and get them ready for college. They also have many places and programs to work out for healthy living. Getting to places around town is fast and easy, and the cost of living is about average. Some area's cost of living is slightly below average. The city is also full of job opportunities, but they are all mainly low wage jobs.
Wisconsin Rapids is in the heart of Central Wisconsin, featuring down to earth entertainment and family friendly. The Wisconsin River runs through Wisconsin Rapids and provides opportunities for boating, fishing paddle boarding, kayaking, canoe and learning about hydroelectric power.
