Winthrop is a small seaside town. It is a safe community and conveniently located to Boston Logan Airport. There are restaurants to suit every taste - Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Middle Eastern and BBQ to name a few. Being a small town, there is a sense of family. Everyone is friendly and polite.
Unfortunately, there are only two ways in and out of Winthrop and this can pose a traffic nightmare during rush hour or when there is a road race in town.
Overall...I love it! I left for 12 years but came back!

I have been living here for 8 years and the people could not be nicer in this beautiful town. Welcomed me happily since day one. Lots of dogs, people walking/running along the beach, great restaurants. I have been very happy here living here at the beach. A unique place to call home. Despite the airplane noise on occasion and traffic during commuting hours, it is worth small inconveniences.
The town of Winthrop is a lovely place to live in, it pleases every necessity one might have. It's close to the city without being exactly in the city, it is also by the sea so the morning walks and views are something splendid that everyone should see.
