Winterport is a fairly small town in Maine that borders the Penobscot River. It is a caring community that cares for one another. It is a rural area but not too far from larger cities. It offers many beautiful spots, both wooded and with water for outdoor adventures.
I love how close we are to the "city". My work commute is only about 12 minutes. I would like to see more businesses open up in town. Maybe some restaurants.
The people are nice and friendly. They say hello to their neighbors and wave. I wouldn't choose to live there again because it is too far from the city.
