When I think of Winter Springs, I think of safety, affordability, and ease of access. The local police department makes constant patrols ensuring the safety of its citizens. Affordability, the market of housing or apartment living is reasonable. Its cheaper to live here than to get a place in Orlando and worry about a high crime rate. Ease of access, there is plenty of Publix's, gas stations and other amenities without having to drive more than 2-5 minutes away!

Another positive thing I can say is commuting is a breeze, now excluding holiday traffic is usually light and not an issue when coming home from school or work.

My wife and I moved from DeLand where we lived west of town on the St. Johns river for 25 years. I miss the quiet of the country and low taxes however I love our neighborhood, the convenience of nearby shops and other services. The schools here are A and A+, lots of friendly law enforcement patrolling an area and questioning "strangers" for loitering or not from the neighborhood and a perception of safety. Crime was rated on this website as a "B" but I beg to differ, it is extremely low and should be updated to an "A" verses surrounding towns with the sane ratings that have had murders and rapes. People that live on my street are mostly God fearing conservative folks and fly our American flag with pride and honor. The neighbors are mainly professionals, educated with masters or doctorates and are friendly. People take pride in their homes curb appeal and pick up trash if they see it on the street. Miss the country but thankful for my new home in Winter Springs,
I have lived in the Winter Springs, Florida area for over 10 years. I highly recommend the hometown feel of this beautiful town on the ouskirts of Orlando. Neighbors watch out for each other and the community is friendly and inclusive. Great place to raise a family and the schools are top notch!
