I have lived in Winnie for 2 years, I moved here from Crosby, Tx. Winnie has been such a warming town for my children and I. There is so much Hospitality and love in this small town. Everyone is always so warming and willing to extend a hand! The school system has been great so far. The teachers always seem to go the extra mile for my children. I also have 2 sisters that attend the high school and play in extra curricular activities, and all the coaches do a great Job at teaching the students.
Adding another grocery store would be a great help but it's really not that bad. Beaumont and Baytown are both about 25 min away if you absolutely have something major to go get.
We love the town ans the people! Winnie has been great to my family and the extra community activities are also great because the whole town comes together and enjoys each other!

Generally safe town to live, mostly petty crime. People do not know how to keep their dogs in their yard. Nothing to do and the only grocery store is overpriced. Also lots of meth addicts.
Winnie is a great place to raise a family. Very safe family friendly town with good schools. I would like to see more housing opportunities for families looking to move here in the future. While I'd like our town to stay relatively small, we could afford a few more residents without effecting the small hometown feel of this area.
