Overall living in Winfield is uneventful. I live on the very outskirts of Winfield more towards Teays Valley, so I don't go to the main area of the town very often, but I did go to the middle school there for three years and the high school for two. Both schools were great schools and I didn't have any problems with either.
This town is extremely friendly and the people in it are always helping each other out! The schools are doing their best to teach the students in them! The traffic is this town is very good. The town of Winfield is a nice town to visit or live in!
Excellent place to live. It is safe, neighborly, and overall a beautiful small town. Moving here was a pleasant surprise for my family.
I moved to Putnam County in 6th grade and I have attend Winfield's school system since. I adore Winfield for it's friendliness and tight sense of community. Everyone is willing to step in for families in need and always encourages every child to strive to reach their fullest potential. The town is very safe, quaint, and clean.
I believe this town to be very safe, but the down side to that safety is that the police have nothing better to do than to pull people over for nonsensical things. The public schools are excellent in Winfield for general education courses, but I advise against sending your children to the Winfield Elementary School if they have special needs. The teachers there have no idea what they are doing, and the special needs classrooms do not have enough teachers it requires to operate those classrooms effectively.
Winfield has been my home since I was born. I only have moved once in my life, but in was within Winfield still. Winfield has some of the best schools ever. From academics to sports, Winfield is the best area ever. Winfield has a nice community, and people are always willing to help others. Winfield has local stores which is awesome to see. I enjoy living in Winfield, and I don't know where life will take me but I hope its not too far from home.
Winfield is an interesting town that contains a tight-knit community that loves their local sports and churches. It is a safe area; however, traffic can become horrible during school let out times.
I have lived in the Winfield area for roughly 4 years and have grown to love it. There is no better place to raise a family. I do like the convenient location between Charleston and Huntington. There are many great neighborhoods and a great school system. I have no fear for my safety in this area and the people are overly friendly. The only downfall I have noticed is the lack of activities within a close radius, particularly in the restaurant industry. If Winfield had more options in this area it would be the perfect place.
Winfield is a small town with hardly 3,000 people or so. Our pride is on the education system because we have the court house right in the middle of town. The police will pull you over if you're going even a mile over the speed limit.
Houses need to be update and maintained better.
Nothing to do and everything is in bad shape.
Needs more policemen patrolling the streets.
Crime in Winfield is very low!
People are nice. There are not many things to do or attractions in this area
Lets just get this strait no bars in the area. There are a lot of great places to eat and they have a good verity.
The employment in this area is mostly fast food and small chain stores that cannot give you a full time position. There are good jobs with mom and pop shops but they are already taken
We have a gas station/dinner called Tim's. The staff is always nice and they have good prices. The food is amazing when the dinner is open. They always stay open during a Chrisis such as a power outage because they know people need them to.
