Windsor Locks may be a small town, but we have soul. It's an extremely safe town with great places to hang out with people, and we have so many great restaurants, so that's a plus too!
The public school system needs improvement as many people in the town have actively tried to accomplish. The town consists of a lot of older residents, yet more families are coming in because the taxes are lower than surrounding towns. Route 75 is filled with fast food restaurants, with some good ones. Overall this would not be a place where I would want to stay for a long time.
WIndsor Locks is quiet, easy going and simple. The parks are clean and well kept. People are friendly. One downside is that, there isn't much diversity. The public library is nice. I haven't had a problem with any of my neighbors.
