There is not a whole lot going on in this quiet country town. The biggest attraction to the area is Sewanee: The University of the South, factories for work, Arnold's Air Force Base, Tims Ford Lake, and a few satellite facilities. Currently, the most this town has going for it is a new marina. Some wealthy people from Nashville and surrounding metropolises have scampered to buy lakefront property to soak, swim, fish, and boat in a poor standard of lake water for a cheap relaxing vacation or permanent residence. Schools are lax with their educational standards, while, the community offers limited entertainment for young adults.

Great small town where everyone knows the other. Law enforcement isn’t strict. You can do just about anything you’d like to do, from shopping to fishing it’s available in winchester!
Winchester is a nice little town in the outskirts of Tennessee. A lot of friendly people live here, and just up the mountain is Sewanee, where a beautiful landscape and school awaits. However, Winchester is very run down for teenagers. There is nothing for young adults to do in Winchester besides drive around and waste gas. Winchester definitely needs more business teenage wise.
