Wilmington is the definition of home town pride. The people are great and the schools are good. Everyone goes out of their way to help each other when someone is in bad health. You can almost always find some sort of fundraiser or charitable event if that is goin on. The local businesses all t=do their part as well. You can barely find a seat at the football games and you cant miss the motorcycles lighting up to introduce the wildcats!

Typical small town living. Probably around 6,000 residents. 2 grocery stores, a movie theater and a handful of bars. School district is big on sports, particularly football and wrestling. Kankakee river runs through the town and floods the local parks.
other previous reviews of three stars are misplaced. People complaining about lack of fast food and the town being small. Um yeah, it's a small town with no crime, plus everyone is friendly. Great historic area and the spectacular kankakee river.
