At the moment, Wilmer is a below average community in many aspects, but things are changing quite rapidly. Corporate warehouse construction has been occurring over the last few years, which has brought new jobs, and accompanying development. For too long, Wilmer has missed out on the economic benefits found throughout the Dallas metro area. That's no longer the case.

I've lived in Wilmer over 25 years. We have been the Dallas County secret. Now commercial development is starting. We're part of DISD and new schools are being built. We have a wonderful future ahead, and new housing (both apartments and individual homes) are under construction. The easiest commute to Dallas is just waiting for those with vision.
Since I have been living here, everyone is great.
