Having lived here for the past 4 years, I can wholeheartedly say this little village is one of the nicest and safest places in the Buffalo area. I attended Williamsville South High School during the remaining three years of my high school career and will never forget the memories that still positively affect my current life. Go Bills and Go Sabres!
I moved to Williamsville just about seven years ago. There are many opportunities in Williamsville to get involved whether it be sports, the farmer's market, or local productions. The village is a great place to walk around and spend time in during the day or at night. The one thing that Williamsville is lacking in is diversity. Before, I lived in a very culturally diverse community and was accustomed to seeing all different types of people around. In Williamsville, the area is mostly dominated by white Americans and there is not a lot of minority groups present. Overall it is a great place to live in my opinion.
Williamsville, a small town located about 20 minutes outside of the City of Buffalo, has many opportunities, and is a perfect place for a growing family. It has a school district, aptly named Williamsville Central School District. All three of the Williamsville High Schools have been among the top schools in New York for many years. It also is a lovely suburb with many side walks, and many small local businesses. Main Street in Williamsville takes a scenic route with decorations and lights around the Holidays. It is also within 30 minutes to Buffalo so sports games are always an option. The people from Williamsville also associate themselves as "Buffalonians" so they claim the Buffalo Sabres, Bills, Bandits, and Bisons as their own. It also has many delicious restaurants and sight seeing. For example, Niagara Falls, one of the wonders of the world, is approximately 30 minutes away as well! Williamsville overall is a wonderful small town with much to do and welcoming people.
