Williamson is a small rural community with its main business in apple farming. In the schools especially the high school students tend to get along better compared to other nearby districts. I think this is because of the small class sizes. The residents tend to be very conservative. There isn’t much to do around Williamson you typically will have to drive at least 20 minutes for shopping. However, there is a vast sense of community where you know your neighbors and your neighbors know you.

I grew up in Willliamson, and attended their public school from kindergarten until graduation. Despite the downfalls of its small size, the faculty is one of a kind. Very dedicated, knowledgeable, and involved. The town is a very good place to raise a family, for the small population creates an intimate and trustworthy bond among residents. You know your neighbors, and you know your neighbor's neighbors. Students also know every kid in their grade, which incites class spirit and long-lasting friendships. Class sizes are small, allowing for one on one attention from teachers. Williamson is a very rural area. Its main business comes from apple farming, which contributes to both local and regional businesses. I spent a lot of my time playing outdoors, and as I grew older I enjoyed boating, kayaking, fourwheeling, and snowmobiling. The closest shopping plaza is only twenty minutes away, and the city of Rochester is only about thirty minutes away.
Williamson is great area for families to live. They have excellent schools and wonderful teachers. Williamson is a small town where everyone knows everyone. It is country living but close to areas where you can still shop and get to places easily. There is really not a lot in williamson as far as stores. There is a lot of opptinuty for outside activity such as boating, fishing, swimming, and nature walks. Williamson is very close to the shore of Lake Ontario which is a beautiful view.
