Wichita Falls is my absolute favorite place to be. The people here are all so friendly and welcoming. Everyone seems like family here! I always get homesick when I'm away from my home city, nothing is like Wichita Falls. It may be a small city. However, with the city not being infested with so many people, I get to actually know the people of my neighborhood, community, and school. Personally, there is nothing more important to me than the communication of the people of one's city and with a city like Wichita Falls, communication is very likely!

I came down to Wichita Falls to take a well paying civilian job with the local AFB. I'm leaving immediately and returning to my own state in the north. I drove around this city all day and evening looking around, searching for even a somewhat decent and livable apartment (none!), and generally being horrified by all I saw. It's truly bewildering how run down and scary this city is! It's dirty, falling apart, and just plain nasty. It reminds me of ghettos I visited while working in northern Kazakhstan a decade ago. I've been also to rough areas in Dubai, and those were actually nicer and less depressing! Anyway, the area of MSU here is absolutely beautiful, and a couple other isolated spots are fine, but wow, this city is simply awful. My advice is to keep a good distance. You will regret visiting Wichita Falls. Avoid.
Best of the small city with attractions, shopping of a larger city.
Two hours from large cities: Dallas/Ft Worth, Abilene, Oklahoma City
Great Airport,
NO TRAFFIC, great highway infrastructure.
Great College: MSU tuition below state average and schools has several outstanding degree plans
