White House, TN has offered my small family and I the opportunity to live and grow in a small town rich in genuine southern hospitality and family-friendly events. On any given day, I can take my son on a walk along the serene paths of the local Greenway trail, browse the endless stalls of the indoor flea market for hidden treasures, or sip on a warm and decadent vanilla latte while sitting by the fire at the quaint cottage-styled coffee house down the road in Millersville. When scouting the surrounding Nashville neighborhoods for an excellent day trip or looking for a new place to call home, the residents of White House, TN will extend a warm and friendly invitation to come see for yourself why we love it so much here!
White House retains something of a small town feel, though that is changing as more people move in. It’s relatively safe, and there are some good outdoor activities. There isn’t much retail shopping, and there are way more fast food joints than sit-down restaurants. However, we’re within a half-hour is plenty of shopping and restaurants. It does get hot during the summers, and relatively cold during the winters, though there’s not much snow usually.
All in all, it’s a good place for families.

Overall, White House is a great town to live in if you have children or if you need to commute to Nashville. The schools are good, and there are bike paths all around town.
There is a beautiful walking path that goes across town. It crosses streams, and it is a wonderful place to go for a run or walk. The walking path goes through the park, which has fields for little league, as well as a small area with gym equipment, a tennis court, volleyball nets, and a playground.
There are very few recreational activities in White House, though. The civic center has sports teams for young children, but it does not have a pool. Other than this, I wouldn't change a thing about White House.
