Quiet, generally friendly and very cute. It's awesome to have a huge lake as the center. Lots of public beaches!

Growing up in White Bear Lake was perfect. The beautiful lake, lovely town, and kind people make it such a great atmosphere to live. Being there makes me happy, it is what I know and will always have a special place in my heart. My dad and his sister grew up there and each raised their own families there. I think it says a lot that both of them decided to stay in their hometown. I am thankful to be a bear!
Each season is completely represented here. In central-eastern Minnesota, we experience a full-blown winter with quite a bit of snow at times. It can get very cold and windy, so have a scraper for the car and a heavy winter coat, hat, and gloves!

Spring rolls around March. With rapidly increasing hours of sunlight, snow melts quickly and temperatures rise. It will rain maybe once per week in the spring. Trees and plants start budding and everything smells great and looks so colorful by the end of April.

In June, it is summer. Temperatures can range from 50 to 90 degrees, but won't change too much from day-to-day. There is plenty of sunshine, lakes for swimming, and rivers to boat on. Everything is thick and green. Tank tops, capris, shorts, and sunglasses are necessities.

In September, we slide into fall. It can get a little windy. Leaves crinkle up, turn bright yellow, orange, red and brown. Temperatures drop in October and most plants are dormant and leaves blown off the trees by the end of the month. People start wearing light jackets and thin gloves again. This eventually leads to the first dusting of snow, then winter again.
