The city has been granted more grants and the change is adding to the community. Some of the older schools, still need to be renovated and not just new paint jobs. The city needs more street art and trees, and to have repaved roads. Not just pothole fixes.

There has been many crimes in the area that I have lived in. In fact its been known for years of its crimes. Gun violence and the gang violence taking lives of adolescents to adults, it brings negative attention to our youth making them choose paths that are not the best because its all that's being seen and heard of.
I love South Los Angeles, despite the crime and poverty also the sanitation, the neighborhood is very beautiful and community like. There is a good since of togetherness and serenity, but also a thick element of danger that makes it a very interesting place to live. Also very historic when you know where to look.
