Westminster has been a breath of fresh air from growing up in Aurora, it’s accessibility, views, and affordability are in a highly desirable harmony. I would love to see less road construction in the future, there’s been so much in the past 2 years I’ve been here that there’s always a hiccup to navigate around!
Born and raised in Colorado, and it used to be great. I’ve lived all over the metro area. It wasn’t too big or crowded, had friendly people, and great outdoor activities. And while the last part is still true, it is so unbelievably overrun with new people moving here every day. I now live in Westminster. The traffic is a nightmare, even on weekends. A lot of the redevelopment has been great in theory, but the population boom is not sustainable and our housing can’t keep up. The growth in the homeless population is devastating, the growing crime rates are unbelievable, and the cost of living is absurd. For some people, they really love it and Colorado is a beautiful state; I can’t fault people for wanting to move here. But now, I can’t wait to leave. My state is not my state anymore, but it is what it is.
Overall nice city! Close to Denver Proper, has lot's of restaurants and things to do. Very much a suburb.
