Growing up here was great, I always felt safe and the city is well taken care of. The only issue is that it is not a very diverse town, so if you are a minority, you may feel out of place.
Westlake is the place to live if you want your children to attend Westlake Academy, a very good charter school.
Westlake is rapidly building up their stores and shops. Westlake is very close to Southlake (which has many stores, restaurants, and other businesses) but with significantly less people and traffic, giving Westlake a peaceful feel.
High income neighborhood that has all the major banks, Fidelity, and Charles Schwab. A lot of walking and biking trails, homes with plenty of land, and definitely family orientated.
I haven't experienced the crime act myself, but the neighbors told my family that if you leave your cars unlocked or with the windows down, sometimes people break in.
The police are always out and about stopping all.
I love living here ever since I came from England.
