The main attraction of West Windsor is the rigorous school system, known for offering great education especially in STEM. However other than the schools, there is not much that is too attractive about West Windsor, thus causing a lot of families to move away once their children graduate. The taxes are high and there isn't much to do in West Windsor save for a couple restaurants, malls, and parks in neighboring towns. However, there is a train station in West Windsor allowing for convenient travel to other areas such as New York City.
West Windsor is honestly an amazing town to live in. Some of the perks are: one of the best school districts in NJ, safe, friendly residents, easy commute to Philly or NYC. If you want to challenge your kids or want them to have a great education, West Windsor is one of the best places you could possibly go to. My fellow residents describe our town as a "bubble" because of how shielded we are in comparison to some of the less safe towns out there. If you have a job in NYC, the Princeton Junction station will take you there in about an hour for fairly cheap rates. West Windsor is a wonderful town that will never bore you.
The public schools are very good. However there is no diversity, the majority of the residents of West Windsor are of Asian descent, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian. This means that at the schools there is no culture around normal American high school events and activities such as Prop and Post Prop, Homecoming, and Sports. Sports are the biggest problem, the parents of the Asian children make them participate in only academic activities which means there is no one on the sports teams and as a result of the High School no longer is able to have a varsity or freshmen football team, there is only a JV. Also, funding goes to music and academic programs instead of towards sports and non-academic clubs
