Having grown up in Memorial, I moved to West U., and immediately fell in love! Great place to raise children, extremely safe and you can walk across Kirby Drive for anything that your heart desires. Plus, you can walk at night feeling safe, lovely neighborhood to walk in plus you have a lovely parks. I miss West U. tremendously! We had such fun watching our son play basketball at the field as we devoured food and cheered the team on. It was also a pleasure to work the stand at the field too! It doesn’t get any better than West University!!

West University is a beautiful, quiet, safe suburb of Houston. It is an excellent place for families. There are several parks, as well as the neighborhood is nice to walk through. In the evenings, families come outside to ride bikes, walk, and play with their pets and children.
My favorite part about West University Place is the safety i feel at any time of day. The outdoor parks, and community involvement is such a great place for young kids. I would change the amount of speed traps police have set up in the area. The city could really use more friendly officers that want to see the city strive.
