West St Paul is awesome! I've lived here for 6 years and for the most part, the people are friendly, it has beautiful surroundings, great schools, and shopping along Robert St. is very convenient. West St Paul has beautiful, peaceful parks, which are very family friendly. I would appreciate an affordable indoor gym for small children to run jump and scream a little bit in,(Especially during the winter months). Some may disagree, but I like the fact that the police are always seen driving around, because it makes it feel safer knowing that they're on the look-out , and not just hanging out at the station. Not only that, they come quite quickly when called, whether a non-emergency, or emergency. Great place for families with children or elderly.
I have lived in West Saint Paul my whole life. It has been a good place to grow up. I have met a lot of very nice people and everyone is very nice. I like West Saint Paul because it has a decent amount of variety for the people that lives there. There are a variety of different stores to suit everyone's needs and preferences. I like that everything is fairy close by so going to stores is not a time sucker. I also like the variety of food places that they offer. Like the stores, the food places have a array of different options. I like the overall diversity of places that West Saint Paul has. One thing I would like to see West Saint Paul change would be the safety of Robert Street. They have recently redone the street but there are still a few safety hazards.
I have lived in West St Paul for about the past 6 months. Overall, I enjoy living here because the area is quiet, but very close to down town St. Paul, Lowertown St. Paul and is an easy commute to my workplace in Minneapolis. I do think the neighborhood is overall a little bit old and could potentially be slightly unsafe. However, I do like that most things needed are within close proximity on Robert Street.
