West Miami Reviews

I feel sometimes that I’m unsafe in the area, or there isn’t as much as I’d like to do in the area. It’s somewhat dull and quiet too. It’s not as lively or pretty as other areas in Miami. I can’t complain about diversity because there are many hispanics there.

West Miami is a great little community filled with culture and opportunity for real estate growth. The area is not as busy as downtown Miami which can definitely be convenient because the traffic is never unbearable and there is a great Cuban restaurant on every block.
Like I mentioned before, El Mago De Las Fritas is famous around here. My fiance and I are good friends with the owners. The establishment is owned by the dad; he left Cuba with the dream of opening his own restaurant to be able to sell his delicious sandwiches and finallly succeeded here in Miami. His daughter and her husband help him run the place - better people could not be found anywhere on the planet. You enter the restaurant and you are always greeted by all the servers, cooks, and owners in an uproar of "Welcome! Please make yourself at home!". Its a small place but don't let that fool you, as President Obama found out on his last trip to Miami, delicious Fritas come from small restaurants that take the time to make sure every single order is perfect for the customers.
